Today I wanted to talk about why visibility matters more than product, especially in the early stages of building a SaaS.

You can be a 10/10 founder with world-class skills, building the BEST product out there…

But if no one knows you exist, it won’t matter.

The result?

0 sales.

One of the best things I ever did as a SaaS founder?

I started selling before I built.

I tweeted, emailed, validated, and pre-sold.

That momentum turned into recurring revenue before I wrote a single line of code.

The Playbook: Sell First

Here’s what I recommend if you’re starting something new:

  1. Build visibility daily. Post, engage, share problems, not features.

  2. Collect demand. Emails, DMs, surveys, just get signals.

  3. Validate early. Pre-sell, beta test, or just ask: “Would you pay for this?”

  4. Build after proof. Only invest time after there’s traction.

This works.

I’ve done it 3x.

And I’d do it again.
